Accident Report Questions
When at the accident scene try and capture as much as possible before moving your vehicle out of the road. Follow our steps and snap all the images requested on the Smashd app and your accident report form will be completed automatically for you by Smashd.
Yes, Once you submit you will get an email with a download link that you can download 2 things. The completed AR Form, all your images you snapped at the accident scene.
Once you download the completed AR form you should print it and take it to the nearest police station within 24 hours after your accident to be signed and allocated an AR number.
For security and fraud protection reasons, no. You can't change information on your AR Form once submitted so be sure to have all the correct information before submitting
Issues with Smashd
Head to the Smashd app, on the top left of the screen you will find the hamburger menu, click on the hamburger menu then click on accident history. Under Accident history you will find all your previous accident reports. You have two options here. Click to download to phone or resend to your email.
NB please make sure we have the correct email. 🙂
We require you to give Smashd access to your location in order to pin exactly where the accident happened as well as help family or friends find you easier. We also use the exact location for emergency services to find you easily.
Smashd need access to your camera to snap images of the accident scene and road conditions. This is needed when submitting evidence to your Insurance company as well as evidence you would need to make legal claims from other driver
Pricing & Support
Smashd is free to the Citi-Zens of South Africa to report an accident.
We have extra services like renewing your car license and car repairs that will cost if you choose to use these added beneficial services.
Yes, your data is safe we do not sell your data to 3rd parties but we offer you added beneficial services with in our app that you have a choice to use.
